Editorial Policy

Editorial Policy

Last updated: 11 October 2026

This Editorial Policy describes the standards SkillAdvisor aims to follow when creating, reviewing and updating educational content. It is intended to help readers understand our approach, not to promise that every article is error-free or independently verified in every respect.

Purpose and scope

We publish guides, tutorials, comparisons and learning-resource reviews about creative skills, digital tools, courses, careers, branding, social media, content creation and AI. Our aim is to help readers understand options and take practical next steps.

Research and source selection

We aim to use relevant, reliable sources and, where practical, prioritise original documentation, official product pages, course-provider information, primary research and authoritative sources. We may use expert commentary or community experiences as context, but anecdotal reports are not treated as universal proof. Where a claim is important, disputed or likely to change, we aim to provide enough context for readers to assess it.

Accuracy and changing details

Prices, course syllabuses, software features, product availability, platform rules and job-market information can change. We aim to avoid presenting volatile details as permanent facts and encourage readers to check the original provider. A date on a page should not be interpreted as a guarantee that every external detail has been rechecked that day.

Reviews and comparisons

Where we review or compare a course, tool or service, we aim to explain who it may suit, what it offers, its limitations and what readers should verify. A review may rely on publicly available information rather than hands-on testing; where that distinction matters, we should say so. We do not guarantee that a course, product or service will produce a particular result.

Commercial relationships

SkillAdvisor may use affiliate links, sponsorships, advertising or other commercial relationships. Where a material connection exists, we aim to disclose it clearly and close to the relevant content. Commercial compensation does not itself prove that a recommendation is suitable, and it should not be used to justify misleading claims. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

Use of AI tools

AI tools may assist with brainstorming, drafting, editing, research organisation or visual production. AI output can be inaccurate or misleading, so we aim to review content for clarity, relevance and factual issues before publication. We do not treat AI output alone as authoritative evidence. We also aim to consider copyright, privacy, licensing and platform rules when using generated or assisted material.

Corrections and complaints

If you identify a factual error, broken link, unclear disclosure or other concern, email helpdesk@skilladvisor.online. Include the page URL, the relevant passage, a concise explanation and supporting sources if available. We review reports and may correct, clarify, update or leave content unchanged depending on the evidence and context.

Updates and independence

We may update articles to improve clarity, correct errors, reflect changes or make disclosures more visible. We do not promise a fixed update schedule for every page. Editorial decisions remain subject to the evidence, relevance, practical usefulness and applicable law.

Reader responsibility

Content is general information. Readers should verify critical details with original sources and assess their own needs before buying a product, enrolling in a course or making a career or business decision.
